While on a brief hiatus from Maplestory due to a busted laptop, I decided to use my hysteria constructively and created a new breed of explorer classes with one thing in common: art appreciation.

Now, before everyone replies off the bat with comments to the effect of, "We don't need anymore classes" or rants like "Fix the game first!" These are just fan created ideas and are in no way necessary for our current version of GMS.

After reading on about each of the classes, I would like constructive feedback on how to improve/balance these characters. Maybe if the stars align just right, these aspiring artists could one day become a reality. Now then, pencils at the ready everyone. The doors to Spiegelmann Academy are beginning to open for the first semester.

    Background Story

With outstanding (mostly self-acclaimed) success with his Gonzo Gallery, entrepreneur and wildlife specialist Spiegelmann decided to build and run his own art academy where only the most brilliant aspiring young explorers can enroll in studying the field of fine arts. Although, rumor has it the move was most likely in response to his little sister, Spiegelette opening up her own yoga studio in New Leaf City.

With his career at stake, Spiegelmann scoured the world and hired only the best and most experienced artists to hire as his staff. They range from cooking sensation star Tiara, to critically acclaimed painter Van Gohn, to the beautiful singer and blues diva Elma Fitzgerald.

With the doors now set to open, students can enroll in one of several different programs, each one representing a branch newbie explorers can become upon leaving Maple Island. With such a rigorous curriculum, only the best are capable of graduating; Leave with not just pure enlightenment but using their creative ability and talents to aid in the fight against the Black Mage and his forces.

    Class Overview

    CLASS: Artisan

    EQUIPMENT TYPE: Pirate

    PRIMARY WEAPON: Dance Shoes

Spiegelmann Academy's dance department are co-operated by master choreographer Mike Flanley and acclaimed ballerina Anna Belle. Overview

Now we add a little flair to the cancan kick - somersault flip chain. Somersault flip makes airborne enemies more susceptible to further attacks until their feet touch back down on terra firma. Canyon wind takes advantage of that airtime with a graceful twirl that can be chained with somersault flip. If mid-flight acrobatics are not your cup of tea, quake stomp can be used independently as a decent mobbing skill. When attacking, you may have a chance to give monsters stage fright with lime light and grant them stat penalties for upstaging your performance.

    Overview

Now you know the moves, this is where you put it all together. After using canyon wind from the previous job, phoenix dive sends both you and your enemies crashing back down to the ground. Following that up with moonwalk will place distance from your target gained during your fleet footed assault and allow you to start the entire chain over again from the beginning. Did you get interrupted mid combo? Upstage rage might kick in (no pun intended) for a temporary power boost ensuring your assailant won't make the same cheap trick twice.

Thank you, drawing was never my cup of tea (rather ironic considering the theme)

Just watch, there's more to come. Ultimately I want to have an artisan class for every basic explorer branch.
